Diets are changing from corn, salads and fresh tomatoes to pumpkins, squash and apples. The air smells rich with the odor of fireplaces blazing and spicy pies baking in the oven. Ah, glorious fall!
We made this herbal blend with apple and spices to remind you of the wonderful tastes and smells of fall. But, make no mistake, Apple Pie Chai is a tasty treat you can enjoy year round! Add 2 Tbsp Apple Pie Chai to our Classic Scone Mix before baking.
Ingredients: Apple pieces, orange peel, organic lemon grass, organic cinnamon chips, hibiscus flowers, rosehips, organic alfalfa leaf, natural cinnamon flavor, natural nutmeg flavor, natural ginger flavor, and natural clove flavor.
Brew tea at 203º - Use 1-2 Tbsp. leaf per 8 oz. water. Allow boiling water to cool slightly, then pour over leaves. Steep 8-9 minutes.
Basic Herbal Chai Recipe:
1 cup water
2 tbsp Herbal Masala
1 cup milk
2 tsp sugar
Place water and herbs in a saucepan on the stove and bring to a boil.Reduce heat and simmer for 9 minutes.
After 9 minutes, add the milk and sugar, stir, and simmer for 1 more minute.
Strain and enjoy!
