Verbena Lavender Infused Olive Oil
Lavender Infused Olive Oil
Lavender is an incredibly versatile herb for cooking. It has sweet floral flavor with lemon & citrus notes. Add an herbaceous component to your lamb or add to your baked goods to lighten the sweetness. Try using lavender as a replacement for rosemary in recipes. Use on fresh fish, pot roast, breads, cookies, roasted whole chickens, egg dishes, summer salads, and sauces. Let your imagination be your guide.
Pairs well with Butter Olive Oil, Rosemary Olive Oil, Lemon Balsamic, Strawberry Balsamic, or Cranberry Pear Balsamic, Grapefruit, Cucumber Melon, Mandarin Orange, Mango, Peach, Coconut, Pear, Fig Balsamic, etc.
Olive oil should be stored in a cool, dry, dark cupboard, away from the heat and light. Choose a spot in the kitchen that's away from the oven. The best temperature for storing oil is 57 degrees, though room temperature, or 70 degrees, is also okay. Bottling in dark containers is also important to shield Olive Oil from harmful UV Rays and light. It should not be stored in the refrigerator. This way EVOO can keep up to 2 years instead of the usual 3-6 months when not properly stored.
